Peaceable Lilly Pond

This painting is from a series that I did of waterlilies. This scene draws you in with contrasting elements; the delicate flowers against the broad brushstrokes, the movement of the water and the stillness of the lily pads, and the reflections of light above and the dark shades of color beneath the surface. All of these create a relaxing canvas-world for your eyes to dance around and discover.
